Kertu Viljasoo
Analyst of casino promotions: tournaments, loyalty schemes, cashback
Kertu's role on this site
jalla.biz is written and kept up to date by Kertu Viljasoo, an Estonia-based author who works in Estonian, Russian and English. She deliberately keeps to one small subject: an online casino's repeat promotions, such as leaderboard tournaments, VIP and loyalty levels, cashback, reloads and timed free spins, and what each one is really worth to whoever accepts it.
Method
Banners are never the starting point here; the operator's complete terms are. Kertu works from a two-column table, with a condition on the left and its practical meaning for the player on the right. One row might read "Prize paid as bonus funds with wagering", the next "cashback calculated on net losses excluding bonus wagers", and another "loyalty points expire after inactivity". That table produces the practical questions on our pages, along with hypothetical sums that are always marked as illustrations and never as offers. Think of it as reading the small print on a cricket league's prize scheme before believing the poster.
Figures owned by the operator stay off her pages: bonus percentages, cashback rates, prize pools, deposit minimums and payout times. They shift over time, and an out-of-date figure on an outside site can genuinely mislead someone. When a fact cannot be confirmed, the page points to where it can be looked up.
What Kertu is not
Kertu is not an employee of the operator, a lawyer or a qualified auditor. This site cannot see any person's account, and it has no power to resolve disputes. Details on Estonian regulation, tax and self-exclusion come from EMTA's own pages, and help-line details from 15410.ee. For India, the governing law is the Online Gaming Act 2025.
What this site covers
- Reading tournament rules and judging what a prize pool is worth
- What loyalty points and VIP levels turn into
- Cashback: net losses compared with turnover
- Scheduled offers and reloads
- Review of the Jalla brand
Kertu's three tests for any promotion
- In what form does the reward arrive? It could be cash, bonus money tied to wagering, free spins with a limit on winnings, or points. This single line can make an identical headline worth very different sums.
- What is the price of entry? A tournament may set a minimum stake per spin, a reload may need a qualifying deposit, and a loyalty level may carry a turnover target. Often the reward is smaller than this price.
- What could cancel it? Look for expiry dates, limits on maximum wins, games and payment methods left out, points that fade with inactivity, and rewards lost on withdrawal.
These three tests are a way of reading terms, not a reason to take an offer. Staking money from India is prohibited under the Online Gaming Act 2025, so here they only explain how such schemes work. A promotion that makes sense only if someone plays beyond their plan is a poor deal, however large it looks.
The reason for three languages
In daily life Estonia works in two languages, and plenty of its players read offers in English, since casino terms are usually written in it. Each of the site's Estonian, Russian and English versions is written for its own readers instead of being converted line by line. All of them share the same sources and one rule: an operator's numbers appear only with that operator's terms.
A word about gambling
Again and again, Kertu's sums arrive at one result: a promotion mostly trims the cost of entertainment already paid for, and it never makes gambling a source of income. In India, Tele MANAS offers free support at 14416 or 1800-891-4416, though it is not gambling-specific. In Estonia, help is at 15410 (15410.ee), and EMTA's gambling restrictions register allows self-exclusion from online and land-based gambling for 6 to 36 months.
