How the welcome bonus affects everything else
While a welcome bonus is active, several other promotions may be affected. Cashback often excludes losses made with bonus money. Some tournaments do not count bonus-funded rounds. Loyalty points may be earned at a lower rate or not at all on bonus play. And a withdrawal request usually forfeits the bonus. The first weeks with a big welcome bonus can therefore be the weeks in which the recurring promotions are worth least.
Accept or decline?
Hypothetical example, not a Jalla offer: a 100% bonus on 100 € with 35× wagering on the bonus means 3,500 € of play. At a 96% return that has an expected cost of about 140 €, more than the 100 € bonus. Under such terms, declining is the rational choice for most players. With light wagering the picture changes. Is it legal and taxed?
Before any deposit, compare the operator's company name with EMTA's list of legal gambling organisers on emta.ee. According to EMTA, winnings from an EMTA-licensed organiser are not subject to income tax, while winnings from an unlicensed one are taxable at 22%. For organisers licensed in another EEA country, EMTA gives no separate guidance, so we do not state one.
