Visa at Jalla: what to know before you pay by card
Cards are the most familiar way to pay online, and most Estonian bank cards carry either the Visa or the Mastercard network. If Visa appears in your Jalla cashier, deposits are usually confirmed in your bank app in the same way as any online purchase. Whether this method is available to you, and with which limits, depends on your account — check the Jalla cashier before relying on it.
Visit JallaVisa debit versus credit
Most cards issued by Estonian banks are debit cards: the money leaves your account immediately. If you hold a credit card, remember you are gambling with borrowed money, and some issuers classify gambling transactions differently or block them. A debit card is the more transparent choice for a controlled budget.
Deposit flow
- Open the cashier and choose Visa.
- Enter the amount; if the deposit is meant to trigger an offer, make sure you have opted in first.
- Enter the card details or pick a saved card, then approve in your bank app (strong customer authentication is standard in the EU).
- Check that the balance — and, if relevant, the offer — appeared before you start playing.
Can winnings go back to the card?
Sometimes. Whether a card can receive payouts depends on the card, the issuing bank and the operator's payment provider. Many casinos return money to the card up to the deposited amount and send anything above that to a bank account. If a card payout is not possible, you will be asked for another method in your own name. Ask before you need it — not on the day of your first withdrawal.
Cards and promotions
Card deposits are rarely the method a promotion excludes, but the terms are what count. For reload offers and tournament tickets, check three lines: the eligible methods, the minimum qualifying deposit, and whether the offer must be activated before paying. For cashback, check whether it is calculated on all real-money play or only on play from qualifying deposits.

Cards and budgeting
A card makes paying frictionless, which is exactly why a limit matters. Set a deposit limit in the account, and consider using a separate card or a bank sub-account for entertainment money. Some Estonian banks let you set online payment limits or block gambling merchants in their app; if you ever want a harder barrier, EMTA's gambling restrictions register covers both land-based and online gambling for 6 to 36 months — see self-exclusion.
